I’m Sorry America

I’m Sorry America...

When I made my posts on 7/13/12 and 10/30/12, I had to hope that America had finally broken past its blindness to be able to make the choice that leads to restoration. God gave America a clear and easy choice for a way out, but we refused it. Unfortunately the reason America made the wrong choice is obvious:

John 3:19-20 - This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. (NIV)
For my 7/13/12 post I had to believe America had already seen enough. I described what had already occurred with the hope that we had met the criteria that would finally bring an end to our foolishness, but it hasn’t happened. If you want to know what is coming next, that is also obvious:

Isaiah 6:11-13 -
Then I said, “For how long, Lord?”

And he answered: “Until the cities lie ruined and without inhabitant, until the houses are left deserted and the fields ruined and ravaged, until the Lord has sent everyone far away and the land is utterly forsaken. And though a tenth remains in the land, it will again be laid waste. But as the terebinth and oak leave stumps when they are cut down, so the holy seed will be the stump in the land.” (NIV)
America has dark and terrible times ahead of us. There is no point in sugar coating it. Whatever can be shaken will be shaken. That is why it is so important that we remain anchored to the Unshakable Kingdome (Hebrews 12:28).

But least you fall into despair, let me also remind you of the word from the Lord that I posted on 10/31/08 just before the 2008 elections. God’s mission has not changed, and neither should ours.

James :)
