Why is Marriage so Important?
Isn’t marriage just a contract between people? What’s the problem with marriage between two men or two women anyway?
According to the Bible, marriage is defined as a man being united to his wife, and the two becoming one flesh. Marriage is the oldest human custom that exists, literally tying to our very creation by the hands of God.
To suggest that a man can become one flesh with another man or a woman with another woman is pure insanity. A man is not made out of man’s rib, nor is a woman made out of woman’s rib. The uniting of these forms with their same gender is a natural and spiritual IMPOSSIBILITY. They are incompatible.
In today’s world, perverted men and women are trying to change the rules. They are trying to convince us that same sex uniting is not only possible, it is even normal. They foolishly believe that if they can rewrite the way government defines marriage to include domestic partnerships of same sex couples, that that will somehow change the natural laws of how two people are united.
But what harm is there in that, even if they do? A government re-definition of marriage doesn’t change the true meaning in the eyes of God. It’s only a re-definition for convenience, so that same sex partnerships can share the same tax advantages as a husband and wife. Or is it?
Beware my friends, least you fail to understand how important marriage is before God. We are all familiar with God commanding man in the second chapter of Genesis not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2:17), and how Adam’s failure to obey this brought death into the world. But what we overlook is that that wasn’t the first commandment God gave to mankind:
From creation to this very day, the devil has been on a mission to subvert God’s very first commandment in every way that he can, to prevent us from being fruitful and increasing in number. The devil uses an arsenal of sins against our fruitfulness: abortion, abuse, adultery, bestiality, bisexuality, divorce, homosexuality, incest, lust, murder, pedophilia, polygamy, pornography, prostitution, sex outside of marriage, suicide, transgenderism, … the list goes on, weapons of destruction to prevent or destroy Godly marriage relationships, and thus thwart God’s first command.
If we allow our government to change the meaning of marriage without opposition, we give aid to our enemy the devil.
Now is not the time to remain silent my friends. The devil has very limited resources to use against Godly marriage, so he resorts to intimidation and name calling to get us to back down. When a perverted man attacks a beauty pageant contestant for expressing her opinion for Godly marriage, we need to demand that that perverted man be expelled from his pageant judge position. When high courts rule that our initiatives defining marriage by God’s definition are unconstitutional, we need to demand that the perverted judges on those courts be removed from office, and campaign against them. When a petition is circulated to place the Godly definition of marriage into law, we need to sign it and promote it boldly, no matter how much name calling and filth is spewed from the perverted opposition.
Success or failure for the cause of Godly marriage could be determined by our willingness to go door to door. In the last election the state of California proved that the majority of people are for the Godly definition of marriage, but such matters will never make the ballot if we let fear keep us from admitting to our neighbors where we stand so we can ask them to stand with us and sign our petition.
I stand for marriage as it was created and defined by God! Where do you stand?

The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."
Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field.
But for Adam no suitable helper was found. So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh. Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman,' for she was taken out of man."
For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. (Genesis 2:18-24 NIV)
