Who is More Dangerous?

I was looking at a blog today that asked a rather provocative question. Which religious group is the most dangerous: islam, Christianity, or atheism?

The typical Christian would probably point to terrorism and events in the middle east, and say that islam is the most dangerous religion, which is a sad reflection of how spineless and powerless many Christians have become. The correct answer is Christianity. If you don’t understand this, you need to change your perspective.

Yes, both atheism and islam are dangerous.

atheism is dangerous because they entice millions of people to rely on the understanding of man, in fact atheist influence probably has more to do with Christians incorrectly answering this question than anything.

islam is dangerous because it is masterminded by the deceiver and enemy of God, and has corrupted the hearts of millions so grotesquely that they willingly strap bombs to themselves and their infant children in their war against God.

But Christianity is most dangerous by far, because we are the ones who have the power of God on our side:

Psalms 2:

1 Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? 2 The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the LORD and against his Anointed One. 3 "Let us break their chains," they say, "and throw off their fetters."

4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. 5 Then he rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying, 6 "I have installed my King on Zion, my holy hill."

7 I will proclaim the decree of the LORD : He said to me, "You are my Son; today I have become your Father. 8 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. 9 You will rule them with an iron scepter; you will dash them to pieces like pottery."

10 Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. 11 Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling. 12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

All of the conspiring of islam will come to nothing. Their leader, the devil, was defeated 2000 years ago. They are foolish to think that killing Christians will help them. Killing Christ turned into the biggest defeat the devil ever faced, and resulted in multiplying Christ’s followers exponentially. Christians only grow stronger in adversity, and we have the power of God on our side. islam’s resources are extremely limited, while God’s are unfathomable.

All of the denial of the atheists will come to nothing. Just because they claim there is no God doesn’t make it fact, it only makes them fools (Psalm 53:1).

Many Christians are now starting to recognize the kind of power we have in Christ. islam can blow up bombs, and knock down buildings, but every Christian has the power to neutralize them with a single word: “Jesus”. Who is more powerful than God? Who is more dangerous than the armies of God, and the captain of His hosts?

No person or power in heaven or on earth, that's who!
