Pray For The Presidency

If you are like me you are probably frustrated that the 2020 presidential election has not yet been resolved. Unfortunately there are spiritual strongholds at work trying to destroy our nation. You need to understand that this election is not about how people voted. The evil powers of influence have so manipulated the election process that they can produce their own outcome in spite of how the people actually voted. 

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:12 NIV)

God's man for the presidential office is still Donald Trump. Christians everywhere need to pray that the ballot counting process is kept right and just or it will be twisted into the desires of evil.

God is in control, but He has made it our responsibility to fight the enemy of our souls and our world. We must pray the enemy into defeat or we will suffer the next four years with a bad president.

The Power of Sitting

Hello everyone, and Merry Christmas.

I haven’t made any posts in a long time. This has been a particular hard year for me. Back in May they discovered my mom had bile duct cancer. My mom had great faith, but in the end she grew tired from the fight, so the Lord took her home for her reward in heaven. After it was over, God told me that he gave my mom the choice to be healed or to go home, and He honored her choice.

It is so easy to question why God didn’t heal my mom because we both had the faith for it, and that has been a struggle as well. There are many things that happened that I still don’t understand. And I know just like us, that there are many people out there who seek miracles but don’t see them. It’s not always caused by lack of faith, and especially with healing it is never because God is opposed to it, because He isn’t opposed to it. That’s why He came and died for us, to remove our sins and to heal our sicknesses (Isaiah 53:5).

I have been looking for answers, and God seems to be leading me in a particular direction although I don’t fully understand it yet. A few weeks ago a special speaker was at my church. He was a man of God who delivered a good word from God which was Spirit filled and beneficial for the entire church body. But during the worship service this man said something in comment which struck me as odd and was definitely not of God. Of course all that proves is that servants of God are not always perfect, and I forgive him for that.

But what this man said which was so off base, actually ties into where God has been leading me. What he said was that “You can’t worship God sitting down.” At first it doesn’t sound so bad, because when you worship you have to be doing something to demonstrate your worship, such as standing, clapping your hands, raising your hands, bowing down, or kneeling, all of which contrast the act of sitting which is pretty much doing nothing.

But the thing is, this idea fails to recognize something very significant and important when it comes to sitting. Jesus’s ministry here on earth officially started by Him sitting down (Luke 4:20), and after He ascended His ministry ended in heaven by Him again sitting down (Hebrews 1:3). You see, with God, sitting down is not a posture of inaction, it is a posture of authority. And we see by the example of the centurion, that understanding authority is the key to having faith so great that even Jesus was amazed by it (Matthew 8:5-13). And let me tell you that in the midst of a battle although you would be wise to be wary of a soldier running towards you on the attack, you had better be even more wary of the commander who is just sitting in the command tent, but while he is sitting he is directing the entire enemy force.

Sitting down actually means something very special to God. It is faith that enables us to sit down and enter into God’s rest even while the battle is raging around us (Hebrews 4:1-10). It is God who lies us down in green pastures, and leads us beside waters that are quiet and not raging, and gives us peace from fear in the valley of the shadow of death, and prepares a table before us even in the very presence of our enemies, and gives us goodness and love all of the days of our lives, and gives us a place to dell in His own house forever (Psalm 23).

I want to learn how to sit down in God’s presence. Don’t you?

Good News

Hello my friends, and Merry Christmas.

I’m sure that many of you are feeling down after the results of the last election and some of the things that have happened since then. You feel like the enemy has won and pushed back the glimmer of hope we saw after election 2018.

Well take courage my friends, because I have good news. God was not taken by surprise in this last election. He just looks down from heaven at what the enemy thinks they have accomplished, and has Himself a good round of roaring laughter (Psalm 2:1-6). Because evil did not win in the last election, evil was overwhelmingly conquered 2000 years ago and it is still losing ground this very day. Don’t you know what is going to happen when the liberal democrats take over the house of representatives? God is going to demonstrate that He is still in control, and all of their schemes will rapidly fall to pieces in a vacuum.

Right now you are probably asking yourselves why God would allow such a massive and significant turnover during the election. The answer is simple my friends. Because God wants to save our entire nation, not just the ones on our side of the dividing line. A nation divided against itself cannot stand (Luke 11:17). If the republicans were to take over and set up their own government as a dominating force, that would not heal the divide it would only lead to more resentment.

Let me go out on a limb and say that the key behind what God will do in our nation over the next two years is none other than incoming speaker of the house Nancy Pelosi. We need to demonstrate a message not of hate, but of love towards this woman. We need to pray for her well being and success. We need to pray for a heart changing revelation of God to guide everything that she does, because the healing of the divide cannot be achieved by a republican leader of the house, but it very well may be brought by a democrat.

I would like to remind you about the message of Christmas. During a time of 400 years of silence from God and evil dominating the earth, in the fullness of time God broke His silence with the greatest message that has ever been proclaimed on earth:

Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace and good will towards men on whom His favor rests (Luke 2:14). I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all people, for unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior (Luke 2:10-11). He will proclaim good news to the poor, heal the brokenhearted, free the captives, release the prisoners, and proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, bringing beauty instead of ashes, joy instead of mourning, and praise instead of despair to demonstrate God’s splendor and glory (Isaiah 61:1-3). And the government will be on His shoulders, and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace; and His government and the peace it brings will never cease to expand, and His kingdom will last forever (Isaiah 9:6-7).

Mid-terms

We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

You should recognize these words as the very core of the Declaration of Independence which led to the founding of the United States of America. I want to explicitly point out that the individuals who wrote and who signed the document containing these words at the risk of their very lives were “white Christian men”. The founding fathers of our great nation who put our government and our constitution together in the image of these words were “white Christian men”.

The reason I am bringing this up is because there is a major movement to overthrow the foundation of our country and our constitutional rights under the presumption that our founding fathers were, by definition, bigots due to the fact that they were “white Christian men“.

Will you reject the words of the "white Christian men" who founded our great country because you aren’t “white” like they were, or “Christian” like they were, or “male” like they were? How you vote in this upcoming mid-term election will show whether you choose to endorse what these “white Christian men” believed to be self-evident, or whether you reject it.

I shouldn’t even have to tell you which party is for truth and which is the lie.

Take Courage

If you have been paying any attention to the news out there, even with the majority of news stations who have sold out to cover up the truth to try to hide the evil agenda of the enemy, it is obvious that God has provided a “game changer” as President of the United States of America.

I know it can be discouraging when you hear the opposition publicly announce their desires to either impeach our president or have him removed for being mentally unstable. There are rumors of “deep state” insurgent plots to disrupt and destroy him. There have been one and a half years of unconstitutional investigation for him firing an obviously corrupt FBI director at the written request of the same man who appointed the special council against him, along with accusations that he allegedly conspired with Russia to reveal the truth to the public about the corruptions of the candidate he defeated. We hear of deliberate pre-meditated efforts to frame our president for numerous crimes as the State Department covers up and hides their bias and two sided justice. What we now see exposed is so incredible that we thought it was impossible, and most of the players are still getting away with their continuing activities, and there is even talk of a “blue wave” that will retake power, brush everything under the rug, and remove God’s man from power. But don’t you believe it…

You should not be surprised about the “shrewdness” of evil because Jesus forewarned us about it two thousand years ago (Luke 16:1-15). You should also understand that it is an absolute principle of God that when the enemy comes like a flood He rises up against them (Isaiah 59:19). Although it might look like evil still has the upper hand, what is really taking place is God is bringing everything they have done to light (John 3:19-21), and the longer it takes the brighter that light becomes and the more they are exposed, and no matter how much the majority news tries to hide it they cannot stop the light from getting out.

Take courage my friends. There are powerful forces moving in the heavenlies for restoring of our great nation as that shining city on the hill (Matthew 5:14). There isn’t going to be a “blue wave” in these mid-term elections. If God could lead Donald Trump to victory over all of the evil works that it is now obvious were being used against him, then surely God can keep the upper hand to not only maintain his chosen leaders in congress, but to also add reinforcements that clearly demonstrate who is in control. Can you say “red wave”? The only hope they have for a “blue wave” is for everyone’s eyes to be so blinded by the lying media that we either vote stupid or stay home, but it is very hard to be blinded when the light is now shining so bright and clear. Trust the light, and have faith in God.

But please don’t forget that it is not God’s intention to destroy everyone that His light exposes, His purpose is to save them.

John 3:16-21 - For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. (NIV)

Reaction to the Parkland school mass murder

Why is it every time we see the face of evil rise up in the shooting mass murder of defenseless unarmed victims, that the arrogant political left immediately starts to demand the disarming of LAW ABIDING CITIZENS? Law abiding citizens are not the perpetrators of these horrific attacks, WE ARE THE VICTIMS! You cannot solve any of societies problems by taking away the rights and protections of the innocent.

In watching the news unfold over the last few days, I can point out some obvious problems in the way our nation is responding to these events.

1) There is a foolish focus of the right to avoid politicizing what has happened until some unidentified period of time has elapsed. We know that the left always immediately uses these situations to demand tighter gun controls, and unfortunately it takes the right far too long to get out our own message. We need to stop cowering in silence as though speaking out is disrespectful to the victims, while we allow opponents of freedom to use an evil mass murder for their political gain.

2) There is a sharp focus of the left to spotlight irrelevant aspects of the situation, to suggest problems with existing gun laws that really have no bearing on why the shooting occurred:
  • The gun was purchased legally – Had the perpetrator been barred from purchase, he could have obtained it just as easily through illegal means; stricter gun controls cannot and do not prevent perpetrators from obtaining firearms, all they do is disarm innocent law abiding citizens.
  • The perpetrator was allowed to own a gun at age 19 – Age 19 is clearly considered to be a legal adult, old enough to have a driver’s license and to vote in the United States; this was not a case of putting a gun in the hands of a child.
  • The gun was a semi-automatic weapon – Semi-automatic just means that you don’t have to re-cock the trigger before firing the next shot; this is old technology common to almost every modern firearm, it is not an unreasonable technology that shouldn’t be available to the public.
  • The gun was an “assault weapon” – The term “assault weapon” just means it is a type of gun often used by the military, it does not mean the gun has no civilian functions; almost every modern hunting rifle qualifies as an “assault weapon”, because the same weapon characteristics sought by the military are also necessary for taking down game.
3) There is a haunting silence of the Christian community to focus on the root cause behind this and all other evil attacks. The news is defining it as “Mental Health”, that we have a growing Mental Health crisis in the United States that is behind the increasing numbers of such events. But the real problem is not our Mental Health as a Nation; it is our Moral Health. As a society we simply are not raising our children to consider and make good choices between right and wrong.

The fact that these events are breaking out in our schools is somewhat ironic, but it is not really surprising since so many of us have placed the expectation on our schools to raise our children for us. The problem is that our schools have become the training ground and recruiting branch of the liberal left:
  • A number of school leaders and teacher’s unions have strong ties to liberal political parties.
  • Too many school curriculums indoctrinate our impressionable young children in liberal ideas.
  • Our public schools have essentially become labs for social experiments on gender identity, sexuality, and other liberal ideas.
  • Children are being taught that equality means being the same as everyone else, that having more talent, being smarter, or being a different race, gender or wealth class needs to be equalized. This promotes children to envy others who have something that they don’t.
  • Worst of all, too many bad teachers are protected by their unions and tenure, not able to be fired no matter what they do, and not held accountable for their performance or productivity. They earn an easy paycheck off of society, while they hide inside their classrooms completely oblivious even to bulling by their own students under their very noses.
If mass shootings are caused by a Mental Health crisis, then the first thing we need to do before we focus on stricter gun laws, is to fix the problem of our schools brooding our children to DEVELOP Mental Health problems that will eventually come back on them in a horrific attack.

What do we need to do with our schools?
1) We need to restore moral teachings of right and wrong, starting from the earliest ages and reinforced with every grade. Passing a moral aptitude test needs to be a requirement for advancement and graduation.
2) We need to stop socially experimenting with our children by treating long recognized Mental Health problems as normal, acceptable, and even desired behavior. Pretending that a problem is normal will not stop it from eventually becoming a Mental Health crisis.
3) We need to stop promoting envy among children to want to be the same as somebody else. We are all born with things we are good at, and with things we will never be good at no matter how hard we try. Children need to be taught to accept and be content with their own talents and limitations, and to also accept the talents and limitations of other people.
4) We need to terminate a large number of teachers who are not being productive in our schools, and replace them with teachers who actually care about our children.
5) We need to train our good productive teachers to pay attention to what is going on in the back of their classrooms and school yards where bullying is taking place, so that the bullying is eliminated. Most bullying doesn’t happen in the dark, it occurs in places where someone should be taking notice. If the isn’t enough adult presence to curtail all bullying on the school grounds, that is a failure of school administration and they need to be held accountable.
6) We need to tighten security at all of our schools so that entry points are limited and controlled, and so that sufficient armed professionals are present to protect our children and teachers over the entire campus.
7) We need to take up our responsibility as parents to teach our children to do right, to volunteer and help our schools wherever we can, and to pray for our children, teachers, and school officials.

What about guns and gun control needs?
1) Sensible and reasonable gun laws are a good thing and need to be promoted, but the evidence is clear from many countries, that gun laws do not prevent gun violence. Many countries where guns are tightly restricted still have a large amount of gun violence. In contrast, the countries that promote and even mandate gun ownership and training have far less gun violence.
2) Property owners and governing bodies need to be held liable for their gun restrictions. If you forbid firearms within a location then it should fall upon you to protect your visitors from evil people who might take advantage of your gun rules. It is a known fact that armed assailants consider how likely they are to encounter armed resistance when they pick a target for attack. We need to enact a federal law that requires any place where firearms are forbidden to provide sufficient trained armed guards on premises to protect the unarmed visitors, and failure to do so should be criminally and civilly liable.
3) Government and political leaders, and media sources needs to be held accountable for their brash uninformed statements and demands. There is way too much pandering to the people who use evil events as a means to promote their agenda:
  • a) The liberals are not asking for gun control because they care about life: they don’t care about unborn life when it comes to abortion; they don’t care about elderly life when it comes to euthanasia; and they don’t have a problem with assisted suicide.
  • b) The liberals are not asking for gun control because they care about protecting children: again there is abortion, which is the government sanctioned murder of children; you have their protest events which sport violence and vandalism, hate speech, profanity, inappropriate dress and even nudity, none of which are good for children; and there are CPS examples of children being taken away from good caring parents and placed in abusive and dangerous situations.
  • c) The liberals are not asking for gun control because they have evidence that it works, because actual evidence shows the complete opposite.
  • d) They are demanding gun control for one and only one reason, CONTROL.
We need to stop letting the people who want to control us have control of the narrative. These people are masters at cutting off reasonable opposing speech with their unruly behavior, so we need to counter this by eliminating their public podium, by hitting the pocketbooks of companies who advertise on media that support them, and demanding the firing of media personalities that promote them.

Luke 16:1-8 (NIV) - Jesus told his disciples:

There was a rich man whose manager was accused of wasting his possessions. So he called him in and asked him, “What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your management, because you cannot be manager any longer.”

The manager said to himself, “What shall I do now? My master is taking away my job. I’m not strong enough to dig, and I’m ashamed to beg— I know what I’ll do so that, when I lose my job here, people will welcome me into their houses.”

So he called in each one of his master’s debtors. He asked the first, “How much do you owe my master?”

“Nine hundred gallons of olive oil,” he replied.

The manager told him, “Take your bill, sit down quickly, and make it four hundred and fifty.”

Then he asked the second, “And how much do you owe?”

“A thousand bushels of wheat,” he replied.

He told him, “Take your bill and make it eight hundred.”

The master commended the dishonest manager because he had acted shrewdly. For the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light.

Many Christians seem to have a hard time remembering that the people of this world, and especially the liberal left are a shrewd lot who will do everything they can to achieve their agenda. Jesus warned us about what they would do, and He also told us what to do in response…

Matthew 10:16-20 (NIV)

“I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. Be on your guard; you will be handed over to the local councils and be flogged in the synagogues. On my account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles. But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.”

Indoctrination

I was listening to the radio the other day, and the host was describing some news broadcasts about recent protests, where parents had brought their young children not just to watch, but to participate by holding signs and marching with them. This reminds me of another situation I heard about, where a group of 5th graders decided to mimic major league football players by kneeling in protest during the national anthem at a school football game. Both situations were clearly about kids who don’t really understand the issues, being coaxed into protest activities by the adults around them rather than making their own informed choices.

After describing the protest, the radio host started sharing his opinion that kids should not be pressed into such activities that are beyond their understanding. Only the host didn’t just focus on political activities, he also had the same opinion about religious activities, saying that children should not be forced by their parents to go to church until they are old enough to understand and decide whether they agree with their parents’ religion.

Now I can sympathize with this host’s opinion in not wanting to see young children brought into political activities they don’t understand, but when he turned that thought towards religion it immediately struck a sour note with me.

The problem is that God isn’t just somebody’s opinion. Although one might in some cases argue that certain political ideas are opinions to test and figure out which ones you like better, when it comes to the subject of your children’s salvation, that is a very dangerous position to take.

When educating our children we don’t just let them pick and choose for themselves which answers are correct. One plus one always equals two. There are correct ways to spell certain words, and there are incorrect ways. The structure of sentences must follow certain patterns. Although the creativity in art may follow different expressions of a child’s feelings, for most things that a child has to learn there are right answers, and there are wrong answers.

Religion isn’t some kind of art where a person gets to pick for themselves what is right and what is wrong. God is real. As parents we are responsible to raise our children under God’s ways of right and wrong. Just like we teach our children how to add numbers to get the correct answer, we also need to teach our children to go to church, and to pray, and to develop a relationship with the God that we worship.

It is the responsibility of all parents to encourage, train, and indoctrinate our children in the ways of God, even when this makes them do things they don’t understand or don’t want to do. If we follow the opinion of this misguided radio host and fail to do our job as parents, then somebody else will indoctrinate our children in the ways of the world instead, and that could doom them to hell!
