Do you choose the Truth or the lie?

Numbers 23:19 - God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? (NIV)
Even after He became a man by placing His own soul in a human body (see my post on the Trinity), He still does not lie...

John 14:6 - Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (NIV)
Last night I was thinking about some of the things Jesus said and how they compare to the foolishness of what passes off as science these days...

1 Corinthians 3:19-20 - For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”; and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.” (NIV)
Lately I’ve seen a number of TV programs about the universe and the origin of man, and I am amazed at how blatant their deceptiveness has become. These programs show beautiful close-up depictions of stars exploding, and planets forming, and millions of people watching accept these images as science even though they obviously are not captured by telescope, but are 100% CGI. These programs present dinosaurs grazing in their “natural habitat”, and most people just shrug off the fact that these simulations are 100% made up.

But Jesus, who is God, does not lie. And Jesus Himself said that God created the world (Mark 13:19), and God also created man (Matthew 19:4). To accept man’s foolish ideas (1 Corinthians 3:19-20) of “the big bang” or “evolution” is diametrically opposed to the Christian faith, because it makes Jesus out to be a liar.

My friends, I warn you, do not believe the lies. If you think that “the big bang” or “evolution” have even one ounce of true scientific merit, you have been duped by the deceiver and father of lies (John 8:44).

The Earth was created first, in the beginning (day 1, Genesis 1:1-5), before the sun, moon and stars (Day 4, Genesis 1:14-19). Man was created last by the very hand of God, and did not evolve from any of the animals (Day 6 Genesis 1:26-31), nor did any of the animals evolve from each other, but they were each created separately (Days 5 & 6, Genesis 1:20-23, Genesis 1:24-25).

Believe in the Truth.

James :)
